Among the main pollutants generated by industrial activities, heavy metals, such as Zn, Pb, Cr, etc. pose particularly worrying problems. Indeed, these elements, by nature non-biodegradable. Zinc is one of the metals used by humans, it is considered a trace element but in high doses: they behave like a heavy metal. Plants, because of their immobility, are particularly exposed. The objective of this work is to determine the role of a plant (Coriander) in phytoremediation in soils contaminated by heavy metals (Zinc). The study looked at the exposure of coriander seeds to soil polluted with Zn at different concentrations (100,200,300,400,500 and 600 mg\l) for 5 weeks. The results obtained allow us to conclude that coriander is an accumulator plant and is useful for rehabilitating soil polluted with Zn, knowing that Zn is an essential element for heal than therefore the root parts of coriander may be subject to extraction of Zn.
